Saint Lucia | Aged | 40% ABV
Admiral Rodney Extra Old rum is produced in St. Lucia using a continuous still, and then aged in American oak casks for an average of 12 years.
The rum is named after British Naval Officer Admiral George Rodney, who in 1782 as the Governor of St. Lucia rebuffed the Spanish fleet in the "Battle of the Saints".

This rum embodies what fine rum is all about, both with the rum itself and the wonderful presentation. It's a rum that is refined, rounded, balanced, smooth and full of sublety.
It has sweetness but that is held in and comes as part of a rounded flavour.
On the nose, it's strong molasses, brown sugar and a touch of boubon-like oak. In the mouth, it's silky and easy without going anywhere near the territory of bland, over-sweet smoothness. There's a touch of gentle spiceyness and some leathery toffee. It has a subtle and pleasant fade where a touch of vanilla comes out.
Overall, I'd describe this rum as marginally on the sweet side of the line from sweet to dry.
Rond, doux, caramel, pas trop amere, coule tres bien, beau nez
best rum i have ever had. recommending it without reservations
Den er dejlig rund lige som jeg kan lige den en smule spritet men bestemt ikke negativt
Had it after a Clement. Not so dry which was an improvement but still not my type of rum.
nothing nasty with this I was just expecting more going on the reviews
To be honest I just finished sipping a glass of Ron Cartavio XO so I guess my palette has been conditioned to the earlier
Nose stong vanilla and slight citrus/floral
taste initial alcohol took over the tongue and had to search hard for the notes of vanilla and citrus
second and third sipps more alcohol and somewhat metallic citrus followed by vanilla
with ice the sharp burn subsides however this is one that id be happy to leave out on the table to be used as I wont be in hurry to buy another
as I said its not a bad rum just not memorable compared to pusser's 15,diplomatico 2002 ,quorhum 30
Mahogany color, strong on the first sip, gets warmer as you drink. Dry fruits aroma. Probably the best product of StLucia Distillers
This is an amazing rum from St. Lucia. Very smooth, with an excellent aroma and even better flavors. Gets you from the very first sip.

Notes of banana and a little tropical fruit.
"There is an alcohol burn. Banana and a little black grape, hints of vanilla contribute to the overall smoothness of the rum. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
