Dark. Moody. Soft in the mouth. The oak really comes through. Not a lot of burn. Many surmised that it was close to the el dorado 15, and while similar, the Pussers has so much more character and I easily prefer it enough to go looking for it. This will be a staple in my cabinet forever more. I love this one. 9.1
Excellent rum from British Guyana, you can sense spices, caramel, and wood.
I like Pusser’s for the typical, distinctive nose and taste. For sipping, this one is my favorite.
My all time favorite is the no longer available 15yr red label, that's why this one got a 8 instead of 10, but this new adaptation stands up well. It's the brand that all others chase after and it's easy to see why. Will have to get a bottle of blue label and compare because this seems real close to the blue label and at 3x the price I'm not sure this high rating will stand. 🙏 OK, Tested and done. After sitting for a week with a few drinks consumed it tastes exactly like the blue label. Seeing I like the brand I give this one a 7. What??? All that yummy wood and vanilla flavor is gone. Now after 2 weeks it's back again? Up a notch to an 8 rating. This is like a revolving door. Don't see this getting boring. Just like the wind, always changing. Way to go! Stay tuned seeing I'm nursing this one.
Solid navy rum exactly what you’d expect from Pusser’s, not sweet at all which is to my liking, slight burn on finish. smooth on nose and taste was surprised it was 40%abv felt like a 45% rum. Nose has hint of caramel a bit bitter on the tongue and a sour kick on finish with a long lasting burn. sippable for anyone that likes overproofs or non-overy sweet rums.
An almost malty note to it.
"The mid palate leads into coffee and cinnamon like Christmas cake in a bottle. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

From the nose of this rum all I could smell was molasses, and on the palette the molasses overwhelmed everything else. Wouldn’t suggest unless you love that molasses flavor
