une robe vraiment dark, un gout prononcé , un gout qui reste longtemps dans la bouche.
Pour le prix c'est vraiment du bon rhum, ma note perso serait 8.5/10.
First I bought one for a friend, as a gift. Then I’ve spent a couple of weeks convincing my wife we should try it as well. Finally, for Easter and the upcoming lockdown, we bought one. And daaaaaamn it is awesome!
Packed in a box, within a beautiful bottle (smoked glass), with a Varela Hermanos sign at the “kneck”.
After pouring into a glass the color gets more golden, but still deep and promising and exciting adventure.
The first sip, the quick one, makes you eager to take the second one, the slow one. Then... Oh my God! Smoky, woody, delicate, round, a complete experience.
If you test the smell with the copa seca approach... You’ll feel the barells, especially the fresh wood of the second one - this will for sure dominate your experience.
One of the best I’ve tried up to know!
This is a very tasty rum I received with the rum ratings tasting club. Not an overly sweet rum in aroma, nor on the first taste. It leaves the mouth with plenty of spiciness and then a subtle sweet taste. Certainly recommended.
Smooth, subtly sweet and a touch dry. Pretty long aftertaste with vanilla lingering on the finish.
It is elegant rum on the sweeter side but with a well-balanced oak smell and aftertaste.
Returning from Panama yesterday I had the pick of the litter Cuban rums, Panamanian, you name it, glad I chose the Two oaks. Silky smooth heavy oak tones pairing nicely with a Cuban cigar. If you like smoky oaky flavor this is for you. Deep dark brown color oaky on the nose, and first sip, then lingers with a slightly dry long finish.
Good looking bottle holding a dark amber coloured rum. Opening the bottle gives a sherry aroma then when in the glass you get the oaky and tobacco flavours. A lovely sipping rum with a slight sweetness and a light burn on the throat. If you like a smoother rum then you would score this an eight or more.
I like Albuelo brand , but this one is more on bourbon/whisky side.
Colour-darker coloration. Taste-spicy and warm with sweetness of molasses
and brown sugar, the texture is on the lighter side. Not extremly complex but easy to drink stuff.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Too sweet for me. Don’t smell the smoke or chocolate.
