Abuelo XII Two Oaks

Dense, each molecule is infused with flavor. Incredibly soft, pleasantly smoky, fresh and perfectly balanced.

Dokonale suchý, plný kouře a koření. Zrání ve dvou typech sudů se na vůni a chuti perfektně podepsalo.

It should be an "improved" version of the classic 12, only this one was aged in two types of barrels. Firstly in Jack Daniel's bourbon barrels and then in oak barrels that have been fired before. The smoky notes are quite noticeable in the rum.

Bottle: Classic Abulelo shape in a brown shade. Wooden cap with cork.

Colour: Dark amber

Nose: Quite strong and sweet. The main ingredients are fruit, vanilla, wood and smoke.

Flavour: Sweet and sour, juicy but mild. Quite strong citrus, tropical fruits, vanilla and some woody notes, when the taste goes slightly to whisky (to dryness).

Finish: Medium-long.

Conclusion: This is a good and not over-sweetened rum from Abuelo. However, I'm not sure if it's better than the classic 12, which I probably liked a bit more.

Fruity aroma and taste from the beginning and at the end little bit too strong

Dejlig blød og behagelig, let smag af røg. Den er sød.

Nice sherry aroma with smooth burn and sweetness. Tail falls behind as it's pretty weak. Not bad for 40%.

Sweet caramel aroma with alcohol. Sweet start with bitter body, maybe little smokeness. Plain tail.

Inspirational smokiness, extra smooth, beautiful color - excellent value for money.

Comparable to Abuelo 12. Nice color and aroma. Good.
