Philippines | Aged | 40% ABV
Don Papa Small Batch Rum is produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company on the southern island of Negros in the Philippines. The rum is distilled from molasses, then aged for over 7 years in American oak barrels, and lastly charcoal filtered.
The name Don Papa rum was inspired by Papa Isio, a leader of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish who led his island to independence before joining the main revolutionary movement.

On m en avait dit beaucoup de bien lorsque j ai commencé à boire du rhum. Au final, je n aime pas l odeur de fruits et le goût fait un peu trop chimique à mon goût. Les arômes sont trop marqués.
but I can not give better grade then 2/10.
It tasted like soap! Not very cheap glass of spirit, I tried a sip.... and left it on the table and ordered El Dorado 12 instead. It was really so bad for me (i know it is subjective) that I did not finish that glass.
guess that RUMS should be done only at Caribbean :D
Velmi oblíbený rum pro začátečníky, hodně doslazovaný a navoněný.
Může vyhovovat těm, jenž mají raději nasládlé rumy.
Deserves a place in your cabinet. Simple, sweet and spicy. Artificial, yet harmonious. Generally very likeable
The rum is crap the marketing is impeccable. Don't waste your money unless you're looking to add the bottle design to your collection. This thing is seriously sweet.
The first good rum I ever tasted. A very good introduction to the topic. Sugared and sweet but also with good character.
I always liked it before I started tasting better/other rums. Now all I feel is just sugar, vanilla, the sweetness takes over all other tastes away.
However, I really do like the intensive vanilla smell.

Smells a lot like a vanilla and lemonade ice cream float.
"For all its sweet sugariness, its really very drying and bitter on the palate once it all settles down."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
