I love this stuff. It's a little bit on the sweet side, but if you mix it with a ginger ale it's perfect. I can't really compare it to a more expensive top shelf rum because honestly I never had any desire to pay crazy prices on something that's going to last for about 2 weeks if I'm lucky
The New arrived to my dad's collection! Smooth, spicy and tasty! There are better rum but for the same price i didn't find yet a real competitor!
You can also taste with cola to get a really good drink!
I have a bit of a sweet tooth, and this rum was a pleasant surprise that filled this need. Very smooth, sweet, and easy on the wallet. I have no problems having a glass of this neat or on the rocks.
For a sipping beginner. The taste is smooth and pretty cheap for a straight drinking rum.
A friend of mine swears by this one. She shared some with me a few years back. It is very good however not something I would go out of my way to get due to the price for the amount.
this is a fair priced rum that is one of my go to rums for mixing. always have some one hand
Mix it with cream soda it's a delicious vanlla filled drink. This is one of the captain's best.
OK, to be clear, I mix my rums with Diet Dr. Pepper. With this rum, I use two shot glasses mixed with one 12-oz. can. Try to avoid 2-liters of soda since they just don't taste the same as cans (seriously). The flavor of this rum is very vanilla, but in a good-good way. So much so, that you can drink several mixed drinks without ever getting tired of it in one evening. I would rate the flavor as not complex, smooth, and the same flavor from beginning to the end of your drink. VANILLA !!! Simply a top line mixer, but not a complex WOW experience.
I brought this to hunting camp one year, I'm the only one who drinks rum there, and I finished the bottle in one weekend. I thought it was fantastic on the rocks.
Captain Morgan was actually a 17th century Welsh pirate...

Typical rum from captain Morgan lovely and smooth but sadly still a mixer rum that lacks the depth of rebellion or dark matter. Not complex at all, it's a solid rum that I could drink but would not go out of my way to purchase.
