Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.
A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

Like a lot of people first rum I had always mixed with coke always thought I just didn't like rum till few years later try a better rum with coke decided it wasn't that I didn't like rum just didn't like Bacardi

Harsh alcohol flavor, even watered down it is unpleasant. No body, astrigent alcohol flavor, best used as a mixer only.
Basically, you have this for the same reason it's in every bar. This is for your mojitos and colas. It's good at being a mixer, but that's all it is. Don't even think about trying it otherwise.
It's good in your cocktail and with coke, you shouldn't drink it pure though.

I used to drink this in the early days. But when I drank a bit more the next morning my stomach was killing me.
