Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.

A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

Quite nice. Try it. Tasty spirit and not too sweet. A bar classic. Judge it for what it is. Not a terrible pour neat.

I’m just trying to figure out how this rum became the most popular rum. I’m pretty sure this is the reason why most of my friends hate rum, they think about Bacardi and it brings back flashbacks..

If you mix with many different flavors added this will do fine.

Arrgh, this barely be a rum! And not much better than her spiced-up she-devil of a cousin! Handy if there ain't no other rum to be drunk, but that be it. Smoother than she smells. No strong flavor, no spice, no fruit, no nothin'... nothin' but alcohol. Great for cleanin' the "accidental" sword wound... but not for sippin'. Save yer money, lads!

Something consumed with cola quite a lot back in the days.. Makes an ok drink, bacardi and coke, and is not as bad as some say, calling it lamp oil. Better that Captain Morgan and quite a neutral taste.

I cannot understand this is seemingly still the go-to mixer for so many people get a captain cook or a havana 3 anos, you can actually give them a try on their own. I might be too harsh with 2/10 but it should not be this popular.

This shouldn't even be sold. This is absolutely the worst rum, rum what a joke. This waste water is just disgusting.

I gave it 3 stars because it tastes awful when straight. But, Bacardi superior is good with coke, in fact it's better in coke than most of the tasty dark rums. It's an acceptable choice for mixed drinks and it's a fine choice when making rum cake. Because I drink rum straight up, it gets the low rating, but as a mixer or a baking additive, it gets a 6.

This is what too many people think about when you talk about rum and it is one of the worst on the market
