Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.
A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

A lot of mojitos made with this during covid. An adequate substitute for Havana Club right now.
Un rum basico per cocktail, non lo consiglio per berlo da solo
I agree with others that this should be strictly used for cocktails. Especially cocktails that don't require the added flavors that rum can bring to a drink. Would I put this in a cocktail? Sure. Would I splash this over ice? Absolutely not.
Not a sipper or good with coke but put this in a cocktail and it’s a game changer. As already said this has to be one of the most used rums to date. You can’t beat a nice hot day with a nice refreshing mojito with fresh mint from your garden.
Dont waste your money, buy castillo instead smoother, much better taste and cheaper.
El mejor ron blanco para el arranque largo. Te acompaña largo y no te debarata al dia siguiente. HAY que tenerlo en la despensa.
Yeah, just drink this to forget what evers going on really.
"I often think of Bacardi Superior as “sweet vodka...”
"Bacardi Superior rum review by The Fat Rum Pirate"
It is a white spirit that has a sweet fruity taste.
"It is a very sweet -apple, banana and a little sweet pear are all in the profile."
