New Rum from Kaniche
Kaniche Fiji Islands rum. Double wooded. First in bourbon casks and then in Ferrand casks. Been available at Total Wine in Florida for about a week. New release. Love the Kaniche XO but this must be tried. Very nice sweetness as a sipper.
I wonder how it compares to the Plantation/eray Fiji? Haven't tried either, but I did see this new one last night at my local TWM. I do like the Perfección. I am curious about the Barbados as I do like Plantation/eray 5-year, but their XO is a total loss in my book. (I know, how weird is that?) Not sure I want to spend the $$$ on the Kaniché Barbados expressions because of it.
My go to lately has been the Planation Fiji at $26 and although it has 16grams per liter added sugar I think it needs it. I love it. My local one door store ordered Holmes cay Fiji for me ( not double wood aged) and OMG that was like backwoods moonshine at $43. A total disappointment! So, I need to know if this stands up to Plantation's Fiji and if the price is on point?
