What is the best cheap rum?

Here are my top 10 best buy rums that are still available. They are priced between $20 US and $40 US (except for Vizcaya VXOP 21 at $43 US)

i prefer the mount gay xo triple cask to the older version, drank em side by side

and really the triple cask for me is better ...

price here is 53.90 $ while a diplomatico reserva exclusiva is 50,93 $

(3 $ more for a clean rum is worth i think)

In my opinion MGXO was the best cheap rum ($47 CAD) before Trudy changed the blend for the current MGXO Triple Cask, which is not as good as the previous version and more expensive ($99.99 CAD). Also Appleton 12 yrs is another delicious and affordable rum.

Murky, what is your definition of reasonably priced, and what do you want to do with it? Sip it, mix it, both?

Doorly's 5 yr at around $20 for a handle is by far the best value rum out there.  As far as the best value for a decent sipper, I would say Doorly's XO at $20 for a 750.  

Watson's Trawler is kinda cheap and decent.

My go to rum is English Harbour 5yo with the ridiculous low price of below €20 in Europe.

Depends upon how you define cheap.  Plantation Dark Double Aged Rum is under $20 and definitely has a flavor beyon its price.  If I am mixing, I will just use Captain Morgan and call it good.
