Are there any rums aged in Chardonnay casks besides one from JM Rhum?
There is a rhum from JM Rhum near me that is aged for four years in ex-Chardonnay wine casks. Since there are no reviews for it and it sells for $70 US, I am hesitant to try it. Does anyone out there know of any other rum/rhum that is aged in Chardonnay casks?
On another completely different note, spending all of this money on rums over the past four years has helped me to coin this phrase when it comes to unexpected large expenses for things that break: "It is all relative!". Compared to all that I have spent on rum, when I have to spend more than $100 US to have something fixed, I can say at least it did not cost more than all of my rums that were literally pissed away after the pleasure was gone.
Skip Rock distillery in Washington state makes one called Belle Rose light rum. Probably hard to find outside the state but maybe you can find it online.
