Mezan Chirique Muscat Finish

Nose: a perfect integration of nutmeg sweetness, vanilla, oak barrel, light peppery. Quite a bright taste for the Mezan style. Young alcohols are here, but the sip is soft and balanced. Combined with a very low price and affordability, this is a wonderful product in its own way.

Taste the barrel more than the rum. Warming, hint of burn, woody, peppery

Spicy aroma - pepper and vanilla; sweeter body with peach/apricot touch; pepper and wood in tail

Good taste, smell and color. Fruity and lightly woody with spice, fine drink

A bit of muscat taste, smooth, non sweet, solid value rum.

Has a slight bite, tastes quite subtle. Colour is quite light

It was a huge surprise... I knew its a Muscat finish... But Muscat is sooooo strong on this, that if it would not be Mezan, I would bet my money that its artificial Muscat. But it is actually untouched rum!

I am not sure if I am a fan or not, but its definitely interesting/surprising rum, and if you like Muscat, you will love this one.
