If you want a pure light additive free Caribbean rum then this is an option. This was blended in Jamaica, not sure if distilled there also but likely based on its somewhat fruity nose. Easy to take neat but a little alcoholic in taste and nose. This I believe is aged for 3 years prior to filtering to crystal clear. That said you get some nice spice and vanilla from the barrels.
Just got back from Grand cayman where I bought three different rums. They gave me a bottle of tortuga light for free so of course I am going good to drink it. It's good for a light rum. Better than bacardi. I also got some tortuga mango. It's awesome, my new favorite flavored rum. I wish they would add it to the data base so I could rate it. I would give it an 8.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A fond reminder of Caribbean crusies, but nothing terribly special and no real aftertaste. A 4.5 on my chart.
