Malecon Reserva Superior 10-Year

Has it's own original character. Flowers on the nose. Dry and almost no alcohol burn on palate. A bit of sugar in aftertaste. My first Malecon, definitely not the last.

This Rum has been aged in oak casks for over 10 years. The gold color is very inviting! I grab a Bottle in a liquor store in Cartered in New Jersey. The Bottle lasted one week. I drank it alone, sippin it every evening ☺️. The nose shows notes of coconut, vanilla, a little banana. Typical tropical notes. This one is produced in Panama but was made according to traditional cuban Method. If you know about cuban rhums, you will see the some similarity with Havana Club Sélection del Maestro, Which is awesome. It is somehow sweet, spicy, some notes of honey, easy to drink and longlasting in mouth. Cheers !

A nice surprise - for some reason did not have high expectations but this comes out to be a very tasty rum - woody, dry, no alc burn, slight sweetness at the very end.

V této cenové kategorii nelze čekat zázraky, takže jsem byl vlastně celkem spokojený. Jenže se mi zdá, že na deset let stáří je na jazyku ještě pořád dost štiplavý a chuťově jaksi šablonový. Jinak se pije hezky.

Panamský výrobca ponúka rumy odstupňované podľa doby zrenia od 8 do 30 rokov, začínam 10-ročným. Fľaša jednoduchá, neupúta, farba zlatohnedá. Vôňa štandard, cítiť karamel, drevo, vanilku a zmes kvetov. Chuťovo je skôr sladší, no vychutený je celkom príjemne, cítiť tiež kožené a tabakové tóny. Nie je príliš ostrý, kratší záver si ešte čosi pýta, je tam poznať mierne etanolový opar. Ničím nevyčnieva, na zadok určite neposadí, no na bežný deň je určite vhodný aj ako sipper. Za danú cenu sa dajú zohnať aj kvalitnejšie kúsky, ale potenciál tu cítim, takže sa neskôr bez debaty poobzerám aj po starších súrodencoch. Rating poctivých 6.

Had a bit of vanilla when I popped open the bottle and this followed up in the flavour, though I found it subtle. May have had a hint of chocolate. It provides a nice smooth finish.

Wow, très intéressant pour un 10 ans, a essayer seul ou avec une glace.

Received this in a gift set for Christmas along with the 13 rare proof and 1087 Esplandida. Trying the youngest first. It is very good. Smooth with a dry oak and caramel finish. Noted of tobacco in the background. Not as complex as the older Malecon rum but still very enjoyable. Good balance. Nice medium finish. This is slightly better on ice than most Malecon which I prefer neat.
