This craft rum from southeast Louisiana is infused with banana, vanilla, cinnamon, and spices and made into a perfect blend. My bottle is 80 Proof, Batch 6, Bottle 15, with no added sugar, flavorings, or anything else. Just 100% infused from rum crafted from 100% molasses created in Louisiana.
Excluding Spiced Rums and Coconut Rums, this one is now my all-time favorite Flavored Rum. Having no added sugar probably helped a lot along with the infused ingredients being in perfect harmony with each other.
If you want more details, just check out my review on their 504 Hibiscus because I am not one to cut and paste reviews and then change a few words. Most of that bottle wound up getting donated away. Talk about polar opposites on the flavors of these two.
A word of caution! When using this rum to create unique tropical drinks, use sparingly because the flavors of this one even in small amounts will over power whatever else that you are using. For example, I blended orange juice and cantaloupe and wondered what rums to add to this delicate blend. Some cinnamon rum was okay. Lots of dry Venezuelan rum did just fine. However, adding more than an ounce of this one nearly dominated the mixture. Any more than that would have destroyed my mixture. As you can tell, most of my reviews serve as my own notes while assisting a few others who happen to read them.
Update October 30, 2021: A few weeks ago, I finally found a bottle of their Gold Rum that is used as the basis for this one. Awful tasting! Then my goal was to get it out of my sight and I overdid it. No ill effects at all the next day! Why in hell do some of the worst tasting rums with no additives happen to be the ones with the least penalty the next day?!!!!
