I love agricole for the delicious grassy notes and fresh feel you get from it . This is kind of combining a young oak barrel aged rum and agricole and simply is not what agricole is about ... I may revist this in a ti punch to see if it's any better
First you get a very simple nose, I get some citrus and pepper and some sugar cane.
The taste is not very balanced. Some aromas are too weak some are too strong.
Because of this disbalance I rate it 6.
Smell: citrus, pepper, some sugar cane, floral notes, earth
Taste: paper/grasy note, vanilla, citrus, some bitterness
Finish: spice, medicine, light sweetness and white fruits
Aftertaste: fuity and better than the nose and the taste
Sweetness: 1.5/5
Fruit: 2/5
Spice: 3/5
Mildness: 3.5/5
tried it when visiting the distillery. Pretty smokey in mouth and not very desirable to drink on its own. Probably a good mixer, but given the price tag, there are much better alternatives (Neisson, HSE, Dillon blanc etc.).
Poor sippper but good mixer.
If you really want to sip it, lot of ice is recommended
Classic French style Rhum agricole from Martinique with a Smokey dry taste. Great dark colour with a not to strong nose. Sipping gets you hints of wood, vanilla and a subtle alcoholic taste.
Lovely nose. Hint of licorice (and grass). Tiniest bit of vanilla. Taste: slightly briny. Dry and delicious. Hint of tequila. Reminds me of J Bally (that's good).
7+, 8-
one of the better rhum agricole, better than a lot of other Rhums of this art.
Appearance: Amber
Aroma: Wood rosin
Taste: Bitter
Flavor: charcoal, wood
Texture/Body: thin
Finish: medium
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Wasn't really in my wheel house. Liquor forward and not a bunch of depth. Not horrible either, Save it for the cocktails
