The finish is long, balanced and pleasantly warm...
Tried this great rum in a cool jazz bar in San Francisco. Very smoky and complex, with nice amount of oily mouth and surprisingly short finish for the initial spice. Left a feel almost like smoking on a cigar. Liked it more when the ice melted slightly - smoothed the kick. I'd have again for sure
I was lucky enough to taste it on a day of submission of Samaroli, is very complex, sweet but strong, spicy, with hints of wood .......should be drunk alone, for those who love cigars, maybe a romeo y julieta
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A buddy of mine this in his cabinet. He didn’t know what he had and almost tossed it as the cork had all but disintegrated. After coaxing the cork from the mouth of the bottle we went to the back deck to enjoy.
The slow aging of the Scotland climate really added a nice touch to the still notable Cuban rum style. This isn’t an overly complex rum but offers elegant notes akin to an aged Agricole with oak and vanilla. Even at the stated proof it’s a semi dry body with a nice clean finish that lingers on the palette.
This is a fantastic and rare rum that I am glad to have stumbled on.
