I did not like this when I tasted, maybe my expectations were too high. But even though I did not like it in its own, I really like it with coke.
A material for diehard Mhoba & esther funky shit lovers, relatively sweet, Summer-vibe rum.
Smell totally dominated by fermented pineapples, gotta love it (me) or hate it (you've been warned).
Taste of overriped fruits and something I long-term define as "grass burned to ashes" kind of (gently) smokey tones.
They sell it as "spicy" which I am not sure of; strong and kicky maybe. But it doesn't (much) burn on the tongue.
All in kickass colored bottle.
So far 2nd best Mhoba for me (out of 5, right after the French Cask).
Overall by favourite brand so far, not always super tasty but super interesting and oodles of unique rum-handwriting and style. Smelling it is a goddamn fetish.
Although these are not an exactly cheap rums, tasting them one by another is a great privilege and blessing of my life.
Plus for originality and smell - perhaps one of the best I've ever run thru my sniffer - the taste just closely follows. (Are there still even better Mhobas in the air?)

From South Africa, I was surpriced first time. Based on fresh juice from Nkomasi sugarcanes. A blend of class cask rum and 2 different pot stilled white rums.
First time I thought, what is this, not at alle what I expected - like some cheap booze. The 2.nd allmost the same. 3.rd time I thought wow, this is special, a big amount of tasts kept in your mouth for such a long time :-) - It's not sweet, some caramel and no pineapple taste as you know ti, but maybe if you chew on the green top of the pineapple.
