You have both on this site, and some have rated this one on the Veritas page.
I think this ranks with some of my other whites, but a little too much funk . . . and not the 9 or 10 I was hoping for . . . aren't we all? As seen below, the label makes a statement. Good for Foursquare and Richard Seale. Keep up all you work for and stand for. Another worthy product!
Is the Veritas a similarly top choice? I don't know. I haven't tried it. Not sure it available to me in the US.
If you can only have one, it has to be Probitas. Highly mixable which good rummy notes. Makes for a world class Daiquiri. Can make a Mai Tai in a pinch. Good for a mojito. Essential.
It's fine. Just fine. I had heard such great things, maybe my expectations were too high but it just struck me as a mixer than disappears into the drink. Wanted to love it but didn't.
Heavy on the Jamaican funk in the blend. Awesome if that's what you're looking for, but it comes off more like a Jamaican rum than a nice blend for me. I think I prefer Plantation 3* for my white rum and I could always add some Doctor Bird or Wray & Nephew if I wanted to up the funk.
Good taste, decently smooth, and hold up well in cocktails. I use this as substitute for "white Puerto Rican" rum, although I'm aware the taste profile doesn't exactly match. Still, makes some pretty tasty cocktails.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
