Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

About what I expected from Bacardi. The best I can say is it's not actually unpleasant tasting like CM.
I'm not sure.. You could drink it with your coke after you had a few good drinks before. But not as a starter.

Nothing to do in the category rum. I would not bestowed my worst enemy with this poor water
Amazing considering the bacardi bat on the front of the bottle. not even in the same class. low end of mixing rum. But I would but this Bacardi.
the maple brings out a odd taste which is different , it has a flavor I like and smell, has a bit of a after taste that reminds me of whiskey and not the smooth rum taste I prefer.
I will probably keep a bottle of it around for use from time to time as the odd flavor is something I like just not the whiskey like after taste and bite .
I have only had about 3 shoots of it and normally prefer to have tried a half a bottle over time before really thinking about doing a rating.
So Bacardi is running out of ideas and this is where it's taken them

Tastes good with cola . No reason to drink only cola; becouse you can add something better in.

Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

The spicyness and woodyness was alas a bit ruined for me :-/
