United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

From drinking Morgan to oakheart I can taste slightly different taste.
Between the even mixes of Morgan and the smoky robust flavor of Oakheart, fans of spiced rums should have their fill between the two. Brings to mind a classic grill with the smoke of charcoal seeped into the meat.
Tout comme captain morgan, ca pique et c'est pas bon ! De plus c'est bien chimique
Surprisingly nice and sweet.
Great for the little sip without the strong alcoholic taste.
reminds me a bit of a Whisky, at least u can drink it straight up.Id still mix it
This is an okay introduction to those who have never had rum before and don't want to or can't spend money. It's a lot better than garbage like Captain Morgan's and other such types of hogwash and also regular Bacardi.
It's drinkable neat, I can't imagine it in any sort of cocktail as it is way too sweet. The after taste is nothing but pure egg nog. No distinctive flavors to speak of. It's passable.
Being new to the drinking community for any kind of drink, and after having tried Vodka, I wasn't sure if I would find something I like. I tried Captain Morgan which wasn't bad but still not a right fit, I happened to pick a bottle up today noting the cheaper price and I have to say that it tastes really good, it has a great initial taste, that alcohol middle taste, and a smooth great aftertaste. Since I haven't had the opportunity to try many other brands, I will only rate this a 7 but I would recommend it to anybody looking for a smooth rum.
very good mixed with cola, but certainly not straight up. Best from common Bacardi's rums.
ze základních dostupných rumů je asi nejlepší. Chutná lépe než Captain, a je cenově dostupný
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Wouldn't even think about trying it straight up.
