Ron Centenario 20-Year rum is produced from Costa Rican sugar cane which is turned into molasses before aging in American white oak barrels up to 20 years using the solera aging system.
The company producing Ron Centenario 20-Year rum used to be named Seagram de Costa Rica, but in 2002 changed its name to Centenario Internacional. The rum wasn't sold outside of Costa Rica until 2007.

Sadly really hard to find but a really good quality sweet style rum which is worth seeking out.
It is a champion in price/value comparison. Light, sweet taste, good aroma, nice coloring. Compared to its brother 25 years old, this is the nice, adorable little girl :)
The 25 has more streght in taste but this is nice afternoon sip.
Have it, try it.
This is like nectar. Strong nose, Amazing smooth, great balance, notes of caramel and finish with a lingering hint of vanilla.
I’ll be getting a bottle in duty free if I can find it.
Buttery cinnamon vanilla
Suggest lemon and lime wedge served neat
So easy to sip! The solera system explains its consistent warmth and sweetness (but not too much!). Plenty of smokiness too, and overall well rounded. Very smooth indeed.
It's good, and it's appropriately sweet (25 g/l), but is has a hollowness I tend to associate with much younger rums that knocks it down a point or two.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
