This Solera Ron with distillate between 5 and 18 years old has a well balanced sweetness. In your nose you can feel oak, vanilla and caramel but also dried fruit. Then in your mouth you can together with above mentioned also feel some orange, I believe.
It’s also quite complex and a good budget priced Ron.
This is gutemala rum, little dry taste little harder nose.
What a fright, from the same distillery as the Zacapa,
But unfortunately completely disappointing, for the price!
Can only evaluate the old filling in the drop shape bottle.
Some fruit, vanilla and toffee nose and palate.
The finish is hardly perceptible.
The Reserva is a lot better!
ron bueno para mezclarse con coca cola, nada del otro mundo
Rum of molasses quite classic with pastry notes, almonds and fruity flavors. The oak is very present with vanilla. The final is not very long. A classic ron that should do the job on the rocks or with cola.
I read reviews of this one raising it to the skies in praise, so my expectations were way up there. But first impression was that it had a fairly weak nose. Taste is rather elegant, but it fades quickly. It has some nice tones of cane and feels like a typical rum, not very prominent. I expected a lot more from it, not only for reviews I've read, but also from the price range.
Quite sweet with some strong notes of smoke and tobacco leaf. .
"It’s much spicier on the palate than the nose. It has a very nice bourbon like sweetness in the mid palate which is as nice as it is surprising."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

My first experience with this was at a new year's party when someone brought this. I was curious and tried it. Loved it. Shocked it was a rum and have been into high quality sipping rums over whiskey ever since. This is such a nice balance of deep caramel and a touch of spice that leans towards a molasses flavor but just hints at it. I'm not a fan of molasses heavy rums and this gets right up to the edge for me but doesn't cross over into the heavy molasses flavors. This I can down neat or on the rocks. It's not the smootest, but the burn is pretty mild. The flavors are heavy up front and the finish is very slight and relatively lasting. This is a solid choice for whatever your purpose. Sip or mix it will go down well.
