I really like the 8YO, so had to get a sample of this.
Nose is pungent banana funk, with a bit of solvent and varnish. The taste has a bit of oak before the banana kicks in with a pleasant burn. The finish is the same - banana, touch of oak and a fair bit of burn.
I have a Mezan XO on the go at the moment, and really this tastes like a classier version of that. One dimensional. It might be more than double the price but the 11YO LROK is much more complex and enjoyable. For this money, I'll be sticking to the regular 8YO
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Great nose, smells of light oak but tons of banana and Dr. Pepper or Cheerwine. Taste has light oak that transforms into lots of tropical fruit mixed with cherries and plums. Minimal burnt tire/ mustiness. Finish is Dr. Pepper, fresh banana and a hint of burnt tire. A really good rum.
