Bacardi 151 rum is one of the most well known overproof rums on the market. 151 tends to be the most common overproof strength because in pot stills this is the natural dillilation proof, but overproof rums in generally can range from 100-170+.

I didn't know much about Rum, but I was introduced to this and though it burned straight, I found I enjoyed it mixed with Sunny D. It may sound odd, but ended up making a very smooth mix and rather delicious.
This 151 always gave me a headache....in Alaska, I reserved it for making rum balls, using a cup in the old Joy of Cooking bourbon ball recipe. "Alaskan Survival Balls"...start fires, jump your snow machine, scare varmints... Still can't stand to drink it, much better 151's out there.
In the bottle purchased so long ago I canβt remember. Pours gold. Anesthetic aroma more like isobutyl than ethyl. Unhealthy tongue burn that so deadens the tongue that you can almost imagine any flavor. My nervous damage signals mushroom pate. Finishes with epithelial damage. Next, I made a daiquiri out of it using only 1 oz in a standard daiq recipe. Surprisingly good this way! Maybe better than all bat juice other than ocho in a daiq.
Everyone will bash this because it's the only 151 or over-proof they've tried. Yes, it's hot; it's 75.5% alcohol. No, it does not only exist to set things on fire (that could be why the bars bought it, but not why it was produced); if that was the case, that same argument could be made for every other 151 in existence. No, you shouldn't order a shot of this and shoot it. Bacardi is a huge name that everyone recognizes so naturally they have the most notoriety and are going to get the most reviews from those who are not familiar with rum.
This rum is a cream soda bomb with a ton of vanilla flavor. It tastes pretty sweet and I gathered a hint of citrus. Is this the best 151? No, there are much better, but this one is unique and good in it's own rite. This rum is a must-try, but probably not a must-buy (if you can even find a bottle to purchase). It shouldn't be hard to find a bar with a dusty bottle of this stuff hanging around.
Gets the job done, fast. Pretty sure you can pour in the car tank if needed.
This is almost the worst booze I've ever drank! Don't worry, there's still a bottle that's worse. Someone brought a bottle of this to a party and even using it sparingly (about 1 oz in an 8 oz+ glass) in a Rum and Coke (which I never drink as it's a waste of rum,) it still made the whole drink taste like gasoline. This product burns like fire, bites like a crocodile and tastes like medicinal fuel (smells like it too.) There's way better Overproofed Rum in the world. Use Goslings, Hamilton or Plantation Overproofed Rum instead. You won't regret it.
WARNING Flammable liquid - written on the front and the back. :) Drinking 151 one sholud remember it's not supposed to be drinken neat but in drinks.
