Nice warm aroma with some honey and fruits. Taste is sweet (for agricole with no added sugar) again with fruits, honey and flowers. Bur very fast turn in to a bitter taste on palate ans is a bit harsh (some extra aging could help). Aftertaste could be longer. 7.5 points
This is very short review - proportional to the volume of the glass and number of shots )
1. Rum JM XO 45°
Apples on nose, smooth, oaky. Very pleasant aftertaste.
2. Clairin 46.x°
Almonds, burnt sugar, rich and oily. Might be the most smooth out of Clairin range.
3. Damoiseau 66.9°
Rich, exotic taste, little ethanol kick. Somehow comparable to JM due to pronounced oak.
4. On desert: Abuelo XV
Just pure pleasure!
Scoring 9.5 for all of them. To be more precise and objective need 4 x 0.75L
Probabilmente il miglior xo che ho bevuto. Profumatissimo e morbido.
Pas dans ma palette de rhum de dégustation, goûte beaucoup l'alcool
Le JM X.O. est une excellente approche du rhum agricole. Doux et fruité, un bouteille à avoir.
Loads of tropical fruits and flowers on the nose: mango, papaya, orange, honeysuckle, peach, jasmin and wood shavings.
The palate is dry and sweet, with hay, grass, oak, cedar, tobacco, honey, raisins and assorted nuts.
The finish is nutty and long, with a distinct grassy aftertaste typical for Agricole.
Amazing stuff.
Very well done with good balance between alcohol and taste. A good daily one !
Un bon rhum mais sans caractère particulier pour moi. Bon et ordinaire.
Beautiful deep Amber colour. Fruit and nuts to the nose, oak to the palate, alcohol bite, long lingering finish.
Tasted at 45% ABV
No “off notes” with this one.
"Fresh vibrant sweet sugar cane and some further notes of dark chocolate."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Personally, this is my favorite rhum. It is so unique when compared to anything else I've ever had (Rhum, rum, scotch, bourbon). I give it a nine, because I figure that one day I'll encounter the holy grail. The oak and grassiness is truly remarkable.
