Pyrat XO Reserve

I wanted to like you, Pyrat. The flavors seemed right, your tan was a little too yellow on the orange scale (Saffron water additive? IDK... ) and the after burn was present. But, it's the additives. You faked the whole thing. I took off your glued-on eyelashes, stripped your butt lifter shorts and removed your padded brassiere to find someone I wanted to help, but man, I just don't have the time.

Yes, it's dominated by orange and vanilla, but I just can't resist this combination. I'm into orange liqueurs such as Grand Marnier and Cointreau, so maybe that's why I like this rum so much. After few sips I can taste cocoa and faint tobacco.

Notice, that it's great on the rocks, but not so much straight up (unless you let it breathe for long time)

I opened the bottle and drank this coughing syrup.

This does not have any rum characteristics at all, sorry....................

This is a very acidic rum, and very citrusy with honey flavor. I would try it again, but it always seems to rot my gut a bit... It makes an okay hot buttered rum with orange zest though..

I feel like its a product of over mixing. the bottle is quite elegant i think.

Although I would sometimes prefer this over a tasteless rum, its still a bit overkill for what its trying to be.

this is an orange liqueur not a rum.
intrigued by the name and the bottle very nice I decided to try this rum.
I was immediately disgusted as more than a rum looks like an orange liquor, however, poor

This rum is overpowered by an orange zest every way. If you try to kill it with coke, it turns into orange coke. $50 Canadian is too much for this.

The artificial orange overpowers this rum. Even mixed, the orange is dominant.

Nunca he probado ron parecido al Pyrat, ni antes ni después. Muy aceitoso, a tal punto que no me lo puedo imaginar con cola. Muy dulce en el paladar, al punto de ser empalagoso. Nota muy fuerte de naranja, casi parece artificial, sin serlo. Se podría decir que casi parece un jarabe. Pero es un ron que se debe probar porque no hay nada parecido en el mercado. Por cierto, muy linda botella!

Pyrat Rum XO hat mir gut geschmeckt.Er ist nach meinen Geschmack ein fruchtiger Rum mit mäßiger süße (könnte mehr vertragen) ein bisschen Orange ist auch zu schmecken.
Ein guter süffiger Rum.
