Virgin Islands, British | Aged | 40% ABV
The Great British Admiralty first served rum daily to its Royal Navy sailors over 300 years ago until the ration was abolished in 1970. In 1979 Charles Tobias bought the recipe rights, formed Pusser’s Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands, and for the first time made the rum it available for public consumption.
Pusser’s British Navy rum today is the same blend of five West Indian rums as the British Admiralty issued to sailors.
Known as the “single malt of rum” Pusser’s British Navy rum is pot stilled using a similar method as that for single malt scotches, and with no artificial flavors is 100% natural.

My dad drank this as he was a Nsvy man.
It doesnt disappoint.
The real deal
Very strong and strong and sharp taste. Classical with wood smelt
Very nice rum. It it representative of the standard classic rum should be like. Belanced and full bodied. Dark chocolate, honey, a bit of alcohol and a hint of fruitness. Finishes with irish cream. Warming and tasty.
Nice, but strongNice, but strongNice, but Nice, bu
Really good stuff in here.
Aroma: banana and caramel
Taste: Caramel notes, herbal and spicy. I like the aftertaste like biting sugarcane, some resemblance to the aftertaste I get with the Barbancourt 8 years.
Haven't tried cocktails yet, but for sure should be good.
Have to give an update after mixing and my rate persists. Is very good for mixing.

Update: it seems that they have changed the formula as a new bottle i tried didn't taste quite the same as before. It wasn't bad but not as good as I remembered.
Au nez j'ai senti l'alcool et le piment.
A la première gorgée ça se confirme, surtout pour le piment.
Un petit truc en plus, mais ça reste un rhum qui décape.
I've only experienced this one in the Virgin Islands in Painkillers and it's great for that. Never had the urge to drink it straight up.
I liked Pusser's for what it is, a mixing rum, with a pleasant taste. Aroma is a bit harsher than the taste might let you think, but once you taste it, it convinces.
This is by far the best option when you adjust for price.
give your tiki cocktail that distinct Pussers taste with this Tiki Bar staple
Original tot served to sailors
"Chris Hall via Rum & Reviews"
It has just the right balance of sweet.
"The rum is rich, warming, sweet, slightly oaked with hints of black pepper and allspice."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Overpowering flavor and aroma. Basically an overly sweet stone fruit. It is smooth, but the flavor and aroma are not for me.
