Dark and funky, very good pot stilled mixer. Great for doing shot's...Try it!

I was reading a lot about the rum and was excited to try. But no. It reminded me Sailor Jerry which i hate.

Old copper-yellow colour with a light yelow rim.
Moderate intense nose with aroma's of caramel, brown sugar and woodimpressions.
Gentle start on the palate with aroma's of caramel, bourbon and a hint of vanilla.
Long finish and well balanced

This rum is dark in color and has a light molasses nose. It hasn’t much body in the taste but wait for it… there it is! The molasses flavor comes in really late! I can see why it would be good mixed into Painkillers but I would probably add another rum or two to round out the body from start to finish.

The classic painkiller pairing. Delicious. Strong. I love this rum.

This rum has everything for me. Satisfyingly rich and complex aroma, enough dirtyness to be interesting in the long run. Hint of sweetness. Molasses, dried fruit, warmth, hint of gasoline.
There is no Jamaican rum in Pusser's, but it tastes as if there was.

I really like this. And the Gunpowder version. Only rum so far that I am confident I will buy over and over. On my fourth bottle, and I rarely (never?) bought second bottles of anything else.

To me, this is exactly what "typical" rum should taste like. Of course, I am aware that there is a multitude of rum styles and that there is a lot of variation, which is great. But somehow this is the smell and taste that I would associate with "rum".

I don't think you will find any better value for your money. Excellent, excellent, excellent, thrice excellent.
There are, strictly speaking, better rums out there. But even for double, nay, thrice the money, they are not easy to find. If you like the style at least a little, you cannot go wrong with this.

This review is about the All-Guyana version. I have an old bottle of a different blend, including Barbados and Virgin Island rums, which is good but not as good as this rum.
Having said that, I very much enjoy a half and half mix of Pusser's and Appleton Rare 12 Years.

Let me start with this: I'm a shallow person. I "judge books by their covers", and I'm generally not ashamed to admit that. When I saw this bottle in the past, I thought the label looked cheap and cheesy, and would not have given this one a chance at all.

Thanks to RumRatings, my eyes have been opened. This site/app has allowed me to get some insight and reviews from people that have helped me to find some amazing products... AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM.

So biased opinion of packaging aside, here's what I found from this drink:

As soon as I opened the bottle, I got a wonderful aroma from it. Caramel/butterscotch, a bit of vanilla, molasses, just a hint of smokiness.

Lets talk taste, because that's what this is all really about, right?
At 84 proof, it's just a bit above what I've traditionally associated with spirits (in my experience), but I dont think that it's noticeably different in perception vs an 80 proof. I'll be trying the Gunpowder proof as soon as I can, since what I'm reading from other reviews is that this is the same product, but watered down a bit.

I really enjoy the flavor here; it seems that the navy blends I've enjoyed have a similar Guyana component that I'm exploring more in depth.

I'd still rate this one slightly behind LemonHart, but definitely will be keeping this around to enjoy.

If you like some complex flavors, not a lot of burn, and an affordable price, this is probably a good choice. I picked this up locally for $27 CAD, and will be going back to get the Gunpowder Proof ($40 CAD) soon.

Not terrible but not great. Best for making drinks like painkillers.

This is a strong rum with a bold front end that would choke a bourbon lover. I didn’t like it. Might be good for a mixer, but not on rocks or neat.
