Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

I like the aroma but what is wrong with the taste? It's SO sweet because of caramel color. This is a shame - rum does not need any caramel unless it is a cheap rum. And there is no aftertaste at all because the taste just disappears in a few seconds.
I've enjoyed this quite a bit. It's sweet and smooth, with a great caramel and toffee flavor.
Honestly, I don't know what all the hype is about, it's very smooth and easy to sip but somewhat bland, not much flavour to it I found, yeah it's ok but far from 10/10
I get for under $60 at total wine and no complaints. Make legit mai tais with it, rocks with a twist, Pina colada topper, this rum can do it all.
8,2:On the nose, it's the toaste:d (or even fried) coconut that immediately comes to the fore, and is increasingly present! Vanilla and orange add to this rum's gourmet character.
8,5:On the palate, it's also greedy and soft (without being too sweet). It's the vanilla that takes center stage here, relegating the coconut to second place. The texture of this rum is also gourmand.
8:The finish is dominated by coconut, and not just a little. There's also the sensation of something fatty and unctuous.
You can't offend anybody with this one. As a gift a safe bet but above all a classic in the home bar. Sipping approved.
Amazing cinnamon flavor but dosed. Very sweet but transparent on website
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

This is a delicious sipper. It starts strong with char, pineapple, vanilla , then mellows with a pleasant finish. Paid. $60 at va abc.
