Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

The rum has a very good taste and I really like the stylish bottle.
This is cracking stuff. No alcohol burn. Rich Spicy hit up front mellows into long smooth vanilla aftertaste.
Banging
I am drinking overlooking the ocean in Barbados though which could change opinions.
This is pretty wonderful stuff, though whether it's worth having one bottle of this instead of 2 of the Plantation 5 is a moot point. They are pretty similar in some respects, but this is smoother, has less after-kick and more fruit and oakeyness. It's the kind of thing I wouldn't buy too often but would suggest as a Christmas present from generous family members - it's a bit of a treat and I wouldn't want to start going through bottles of it like nobody's business as it could get to be a pretty expensive habit.
Predominantly subtle fruit, molasses, caramel, oak and just a touch of spice.
The bottle is also lovely.
Serve just a drop or two to friends who say they don't like rum and see how they react.
Man sollte an jede Harley einen Tank für den Fahrer mit Plantation XO 20th Anniversary montieren!

I was given this beautiful bottle as a birthday gift. O yeah! My friend know me well.
A couple of weeks later I felt it was time to open it. Im going thru some life changing events and I needed to uplift myself in a time of crisis and for new beginnings.
First of the box and the bottle are made from the best craftsmanship. Beautiful and even the half the process is done in France it still has a nice Caribbean touch to its design.
The sound it creates when the crown is lift gives me goose bumps.
I had a hard time detecting the smells.
Colors are nice and caramel but not to dark.
The taste was amazing and it stays well in your mouth. Especially in the roof.
Strong taste of Sugarcane, Vanilla and Coconut.
Easy to swallow and has a lite sting.
Beautiful mild but still carries a lill slap.
Highly recommended.
This is a really smooth rum with almost no alcohol burn. It is a little bit to sweet for my taste, but nevertheless one of my favourites. Good rum for starters.
Rigtig god "hverdags rom". Smager godt, men jeg synes ikke den har en særlig karakteristisk
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."
