Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Beautifully complex rum that I’ve been enjoying for a few years now. Easily the most consumed within my collection (9th bottle)
A quite balanced and not that sweet rum. The warmth is hard at the start, but not unpleasant. Long lasting after taste. Exceptional value!
I really love this rum very easy drinking
A touch of sweet for sure with an under tone of toasted coconut
👍👍
This is the smoothest and best rum I've been privileged to try.
It is SO sweet. Sugary, candy sweet. I know that rum is sweet, but this is just too much.
If you have some money to spend, this is a great rum to go with. I would only sip this one, mixing or drinking it on the rocks would be a massive waste. The double aging process really asserts itself here; if I could describe it in one word, it would be "balance". Smooth yet strong, sweet yet not overwhelmingly so. Perfect balance of sweetness, fruitiness and spice with a pleasant, long, oaky finish, all in a stylish bottle. Avoids common rum distillers' pitfalls like too much vanilla, too much caramel, too much alcohol etc. Very easy to drink. An instant favorite.
Cool looking bottle with miracle inside. Sweet and super smooth. Taste with hints of vanilla, coconut and milk chocolate.
First tried this at Longboards on St John and loved it. It is always in my rotation now as I'll try something different, then come back to this. Just a perfect sipping rum.
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Un de mes rhums préféré. Doux et riche. Il vaut le *coût* d'être goûté.
