Tastes great on its own but is also great in drinks/cocktails. A bit of exciting funk in the taste notes.
A totally "passable" mixer, though only just stands neck-and-neck with some other rums (e.g. Cruzan) that are much cheaper in price. Sipped alone it's an unbalanced saccharine mess that tastes of pine, pineapple, and sugar, like sucking down a Christmas-scented candle. Plantation/Planteray continues to disappoint...
Very good with cola. When plain could be a little bit more spicey
Don't let this rum fool you. It's not a run of the mill clean white rum. The blend of Jamaica, Trinidad, and Barbados rums used create a wonderful profile that can fit easily in a daquiri or in more traditional Tiki drinks where you want the light rum to add some character.
I know sugar is added to this one, but I could not stop drinking classic daiquiris with this. Great as a mixer with excellent price point.
Enjoy!
This is one of my favorite tiki rums. I can interchange this for a number of other rums.
Really good for the price, at only $20 at my local store this is a must have. You can taste that Jamaican funk along with ripe tropical fruits and lots of black pepper on the finish. Really flavorful for what is supposed to be a white unaged rum.
It’s mainly a nose of strong alcohol.
"Initially it sips quite well and is reasonably smooth but it is has a very strong taste when swallowed."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A sugarcane derived Barbados rum, very nice light taste with banana overtones. Nice finish with a slight burn. Slightly sweet but not overbearing. I think it deserves better than a 7 rating. Will buy again.
