Pampero Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva

I really enjoy this rum. There's clearly still a little molasses added after distillation, but it's still one of the really pure and flavorful expressions out there. The cola and dark caramel notes are undeniable and it has a really smooth mouthfeel with long finish. Ultimately, it's hard to beat this rum but I hold a little something against it for being slightly adulterated after distillation. Still, such a shame to have it no longer available in the U.S. as fallout from all the crap going on in Venezuela.

Absolutely one of my personal favourites. So simple yet complex.

Sweet with light touch of harsh alcohol from start, nice tail, fancy leather sack (nice gift option).

I recommend this for different drinks and especially Cuba Libre!

its a great daily sipper and the presentation is unique

the bottle :), seriously very sweet from my ponit of view, reminded me of my grandmothers jam, really. Too sweet. Someone might like it, but i do not. Happy for having the bottle in December last year along with 10 others to really find the rum i love - pampero aint it.

Now this one is one truly interesting rum. It's dark but unlike most of them it feels almost dry (despite the carmel inside) - strongly tastes of oak and is overall really interesting in smell and flavor.

A bit spicey this is a very good sipping rum that is quite smooth, but without much sweetness.

Very secondary, this rum comes in a little leather sack that makes quite the impression, particularly if you are giving it as a gift.
