Pampero Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva

For me it's one of the rums with the harder tastes. (Of course my rum vocabulary is still quite limited, so let's expand that in the near future)
It's one I usually end up drinking later in the evening, after smoothing down the path towards this glass of rum.

Kicsit füstös, nem túl édes, nem is száraz, egyszerű, de mégis kerek, igen finom rum, nagyon ízlik! Nem csalódtam benne.

Great rum, very smooth and easy to drink. One of the better rums at this price point

In the pig leather wrapped bottle purchased from Supermercado. At less than $30 a bottle, this is a bargain. Strong sweet candy-like aroma. Woody and syrupy. Toffee and caramel. A slight oxidized cardboard finish otherwise mars an excellent rum.

Has a hit or butterscotch to it. After a slight burn get tobacco and a coffee finish.

Muy buen aroma y el sabor no es malo pero muy dulce. Mezclado es de lo mejor y solo es bastante agradable

Similar to Diplomatico, smoky and smooth. Nice in both ways

After taste was not smooth, bity.
About the same mixed with coke and some ice. Average at best.

Great zipper that i really enjoy. Problem however is that the bottle always end up empty the same night

Was looking for a good bottle of rum when staying with a friend. The selection at the local liquor store didn't include some of my favorites, but it did have this one. Neither of us had tried it before so decided to give it a shot. The dark color and leather bag it comes in makes it look pretty special and I had high hopes. However, the taste doesn't live up to the image I'm afraid. It's not bad, but I found it a little harsh (too much burn) and spicier than I like. It's not bad as a mixer - cola and ice - but depending on what you mix it with, it may cut through a little too much.
