Same as silver, dont try, only for coctails........
Tested the 38% version. Faint notes of vanilla. Not that much taste at all (except alcohol).
I don't know what this could be used - maybe Long Island Iced Tea variations?
Smell is awful, taste is bland.
I was on run and bought one bottle of this in Stockholm at government monopol store just because its was the cheapest there. It worked okay in drinks like Mojito, but with Coke it was almost not drinkable.
But its at least cheap and the bottle decor is cool.
Extremely strong and does not taste like white rum should, at all. You can NOT make drinks out of this. Don’t get tricked by the cheap price. This is pure garbage.
It's not bad for the price. It is however clearly low budget and made for mixing. It is mild, a bit citrusy, and somewhat heavy on the vanilla. Makes some decent drinks if you want more fruity ones.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This rum at just 38% ABV was imported in bulk from the Caribbean by the Swedish Alcoholic Monopoly Company, Systembolaget, and then bottled and sold by them.
This started up around 1930 and disappeared around 1980. It’s maybe relabeled several times, but today it’s called Barracuda Silver with a much fancier label than way back in time.
It’s Cuban styled, hot and raw with hints of arrack and sweetness.
This was the first rum I ever tasted way back in the early 1970’s and at that time almost everyone used it as an mixer in there Cuba Libre.
I found and added a dizzy picture of what it looked like at that time.
