had this as one of our working rums (for cocktails) but im so disappointed that those bottles are just 37,5% ABV that i will remove it from the menu, the cuban havana club at least is 40% ABV at similar price ...
aroma and flavor are nothing special (as 90% of light rum available)
ok my rating for this rum was 3, now it s 6, why ? tried with coke many times, it developes very nice and interesting banana aroma ...
Ikke overraskende, når nu det er Angostura, men den har en lidt sprittet bitter smag.
Nose with faint oak, not a surprise since this rum is aged and then filtered. Coconut, lime peel and some grass.
Rich coconut notes, citrus and lychee in the mouth. A flavourful product for a cheap rum. Surprisingly long aftertaste but slightly unpleasant burn and a dry finish. My seven rating is obviously taking price and mixability into account and the scale 1-10 is defined as the category “cheap, white blends for mixing”. This is not a particularly good sipping rum, but full of character and very nice in plain daiquiris and mojitos for those grown tired of white Bacardi et al.
N- Watery thin eau de vie...or we may addressed it pure and clean in better term. Looks rather oily in the glass despite low at strength. Supple apple with juicy oak comes thru after open up. (17/25)
P- Mushy fresh apple puree, clean, simple and well manner, pleasant and sip-able as it is not too sweet. Quite a bit of peppery spirit nuance at low strength tells that a rather heavy and aggressive spirit are being make in this distillery. (18/25)
F- Short. Pungent and blunt, faint trace of spiky oak from the 3 years aging process. Alternative to vodka. (17/25)
Balance- Remain "clean and pure" and anonymous. (17/25)

Solid cocktail rum. Cream and coconut neat. Disappointing abv but all round decent for what it is.
