Better stuff at this price point but it's still nice once in awhile.
Not a bad run for mixed drinks. Definitely wouldn’t drink it straight
really enjoyed it. very sweet, was great with coke or in painkillers
I find this rum falls a bit flat when blended with other rums in cocktails. It can overpower the other rums.
Very strong brown sugar smell. Sweet, but with a small burn. Wasn’t terrible neat, but this makes a fantastic Dark and Stormy. Tastes just like a ginger snap
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this bottle. The color is very dark, the nose is filled with molasses and vanilla with underlying notes of oak. You’ll find a very sweet flavor with a little bite on the end. I would recommend drinking this as a dessert rum.
This is my favorite rum for Dark and Stormy. Nice molasses notes.
The standard holder for the old style of rum know as Black Strap as it is distilled from that type of molasses and usely has some either added to the finished spirit or is dosed with other syrups. A must have for making the classic Corn & Oil cocktail as well as a "float" in Tiki/Tropical drinks.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Was excited about this as a floater for a dark n stormy or a nice rich rum for tiki drinks. It was not what I expected. Think of corn syrup with a little bit of spice on it. Overpowers any cocktail I put it in, with sweet almost fake maple syrup taste.
