Wow, what a unique expression, the honey and cacao truly shine and taste fully natural, not like some other artificial tasting flavored rums. It tastes like they squeezed a Fig Newton's soul and bottled its essence with a smooth finish. Beyond the bottle being beautiful for the collection the rum itself is like no other
So I went on a week long vacation to Honolulu to see some family and my fiancé and I decided to sporadically come to this distillery to try its different rumss. This rum infused with local chocolate and honey by FAR suprised me the most. By itself it's a great and Interesting dessert sipper, but BY GOD if I had some vinella ice cream to put this on top of or to make a shake out of, I'd be in heaven. A big recommendation if you want something out of your normal comfort zone and sweet.
A perfect combination that brings me straight to the islands
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I was excited to be the first to review this rum. It is a rather expensive rum at $55 for a small 375ml bottle.
In many ways, this rum is well worth the price. They certainly didn't go cheap on the raw honey or the cacao. I mean, this rum is absolutely LOADED with raw honey, with a beautiful cacao nose to go with it. The smell is wonderful - as I mentioned: raw honey, and a good hint of cacao.
But the taste is a little too much for me. It's a little like drinking honey, and maybe it's too much natural 'goodness' for me.
Without a doubt, this is a fun rum to try, and if you can afford it, I highly recommend giving it a try and letting the Rum Ratings community know what you think. I'm very eager to try some of their other offerings now, as this feels like a high quality rum brand even though this particular one wasn't quite for me.
