I found the tail a lot more pleasing than the actual taste of this rum. The tail stayed with you for a minute and was a little like a dry cherry lambic that was dipped in molasses and then aged in cognac.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is my first “La Favorite”, and sorry to say I’m not impressed.
At first the nose is extremely weak, hard to find any aroma at all, not even after warming it up in my hands.
In mouth the same at first, but after a while it becomes quite aromatic and then it’s possible to recognize some vanilla, fruitiness, some sweetness and quite a lot wood.
The afterburn is quite long with the same taste.
As a summary, the initial weakness does that the rating stays at a seven despite it getting better and better afterwards and the price doesn’t match either.
