Gold colour. The nose is on candied fruit, plum, prune then we arrive on the nuts with a little licorice. On the palate, anise, licorice is present. Alcohol is present with a certain bitterness. The final is not very long on spices.
N:- Burnt barks, deep wood incense with delicious spirit-y rum fills chocolate, hint of bitterness over salty rust and soft caramel coat. Some grainy notes developed making it a wee tart. (22/25)
P:- Plenty going on here. First hint of soapy and antiseptic, follow by sweet and spicy liquorice, Hacks candy. Gorgeous thick cherry liqueur with dry nutmeg coating. Mouth watering. (22/25)
F:- Medium, complement by more obvious burnt wood smokes with grounded nuts, masculine with much power behind it. (21/25)
Balance:- Lack the stamina to sail with some not so disturbing flaws, but well compromise with the bold flavours. Superb subtle smokes and firmness reflect on the quality. (22/25)
Weighted Rate:- 87pt

Fine bottle by LMDW which goes thru 2 years aging in Guyana and more than 10 years of maturation in Europe. Although its only 2 years in Guyana but there is so much characteristics in it and additional aging in Europe refines the Rum very much.
Dry, woody, ashy (black tea leaves), coffee with raisins and prune at the beginning.
After a couple of minutes, it tends to be fruity like a bowl of cereal with mixed nuts and dried banana.
Light, refreshing (pineapple) and its doesn't clog the throat tho its at 57% abv.
Dry and earthy (espresso), sweet and peppery pink peppercorn, biscotti, cereal with dried banana once again and a pinch of salt.
Balance and long finishing which is dry, fruity (prune), woody cigar box and nutty roasted macadamia nuts.
Bottled at 57% abv / navy strength yet it's soothing and balance.
