Virgin Oak gives it a real woody taste that turnstile rum more into a whisky feel,
Limited edition 10 year. Overall a very nice sipping rum.
(Please forgive me if I've gotten the name wrong; I tried it on it's first day of availability and did not get a chance to see the bottle.)
46% ABV. Sweet nose. Dry. Lots of oak! Long finish.
Great rum. Always a pleasure to try one aged in new oak. Not necessarily my favorite, but very interesting, with easy comparisons to whiskey. A great rum for whiskey drinkers.

I think this may be a bit sweeter than the 14yr. Not by much just slightly. It is slightly lighter in amber hue compared with the 14yr. I picked this one up for about $65 which was about $50 less than the 14yr. I definitely recommend. The taste of the 10yr is slightly hot which dissipates shortly after the initial taste. I get a slight oak flavor. Definitely not heavy on a whiskey flavor. The 14yr is slightly more bourbon/ whiskey notes. I would purchase again.
