Plantation 2002 Barbados

Nice rum with tones of caramel en chocolate. Smell is also nice.

It is a tasty and fairly layered rum. It has a caramel and buttery vanilla finish. The knock might be that it can run a bit hot and have a boozy finish. More so than the (by my estimation) markedly superior 2001 Barbados.

Plantation est vraiment une marque de qualité avec son goût complexe rehaussé par un double vieillissement. La Barbade et la Guyane dont mes 2 pays préférés. J adore sa douceur et son goût fruité.

Very good rum from Barbados with typical Bajan notes. Quite round and sweet, with notes of honey, mint and almost chocolate. Love it!

Enjoyably floral with hints of fresh honey and mint leaf. Milk chocolate, caramel and cigar box. 2002 vintage rum from Barbados, bottled for the brilliant Plantation range. This began its maturation in bourbon casks, before being transferred over to Cognac casks for a two year finishing period.

Maybe I don't have a lot of experience, but this is one of the best I tasted so far. Sweet, no smokey taste at all. Just like I like it.

Purchased a sample from Master of Malt.

Sweet nose with candied fruits and a touch of pineapple, and butterscotch. Sweet and smooth wih a medium to the long finish, in the mouth mildly warning on the throat, it's fruity and charming.

Not as good as the others 10+ years Barbados rum I tried. Disapointed. I like Plantation rums but this one is not on my "to buy again" list.

tasting profile: primarly:roasted almond, oak and nutmeg
One can also recognize hints of vanilla and citrus especially in the beginning

A bit overpriced for me, found it around 40€ and also a bit heavy, but in general a good quality rum
