This abomination is an insult to the very concept of spirits. It's a catastrophe that should never have seen the light of day.
The moment it touched my lips, I knew something was wrong. The aroma wafting up was like licking a bottle cap - stale and putrid. But hey, maybe it'll get better with a sip, right? Wrong.
I'm not even sure if this is supposed to be a joke or some kind of cruel prank on the unsuspecting consumer. Did someone actually think this was good? Are there people out there who genuinely enjoy drinking liquid painkillers with a splash of regret?
Captain Cook's Spiced Rum offers a delightful voyage for the taste buds, blending smoothness with a tantalizing array of spices. From the moment the bottle is uncorked, a warm aroma envelops the senses, promising a voyage into the heart of Caribbean flavors.
Upon pouring, the liquid glides into the glass, its amber hue hinting at the richness within. The first sip is a revelationβa symphony of vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg dances across the palate, perfectly balanced and never overwhelming. The rum's smooth texture caresses the tongue, inviting you to savor each sip.
What sets Captain Cook's apart is its versatility. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as the star of a cocktail, it delivers a consistently excellent experience. Set sail on a flavor-filled adventure with Captain Cook's Spiced Rumβsmooth sailing awaits.
Niet de originele, maar de Spiced Black ontbreekt in de lijst. Gekocht bij de Lidl in Duitsland, en een best okee, zachte rum voor in de cola.
For, what in Bulgaria is 9 Lev, which is 5 Euro or so, from the supermarket, it is VASTLY superior to any other rum in its price range, and even above it's price range in some cases. It's perfect for mixing. It's incredibly pleasant when slightly chilled, and it's a must with a coke. This is my base for what any Spiced Rum should be. It also helps it doesn't give me a horrible hangover.
I've never drank this in my life. It is exactly hand gel with the flavor of vanilla. It's just strange it's not sweet. But that vanilla makes it better. But it has a vodka-like bitter taste.
Remove the vanilla and you just have pure white vodka. Which is mixed with water. This one is really limp. The bottle is okay, nice nice label. Nothing good for the rest. This is just sleeping vodka with vanilla flavor, I miss that so-called spicy taste.
I was going out at night with a lot of distress in my mind. I opened up this very pristine looking bottle of rum , and at the worst moment i took a sip of it and i blacked out when i woke up in the snow my hands were shaking and i could see santa close delivering presents to my house
From the Lidl shelf.
This alcohol is a disgrace to the word rum.
Luscious taste. Also not suitable for cocktails.
Because it is realy hard to drink this until so drunk. Even though it is only 35% smell is like ethyl alcohol diluted with vanilla water to the point it is strongly bitter on a tongue. Leaves aftertaste easily comparable with vodka. Mix it with cola only wastes cola. Would recomend only to the tongueless degenerates with undamaged liver. Why 2 if it is so bad? Well I like vanilla, even if it is concentrated to the level of bitterness.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
