A delicious and smooth tasting rum. The distinctive spicy flavor makes it stand apart from anything else in my liquor cabinet. I enjoyed it in a cocktail at the RumBa Bar in Boston, and then purchased to sip on the rocks in my home. It has a 'wow factor' that makes it a favorite to share when we entertain friends.
Delicious notes of high end botanicals ring true with every sip. Hints of the bourbon barrel aging process and aged rum make this a truly unique rum experience.
Awful rum, badly produced. Even Captain Morgan’s is better.
I enjoyed Akal Chai Rum in Dromoland Castle in Ireland. Trying it on it's own and also in The Chariot Cocktail. Beautiful to sip on it's own, dark coloured and a little ice opens up the flavour even more. The aroma from the tea and botanicals heightens the richness of the taste. The best most sophisticated rum i've tasted - full marks 10/10
Liquid Color: dark
Nose: sweet chai tea and toffee
Flavor: exactly like the smell but with a warm after taste.
The sound of this flavored rum, made sense to me. But when trying it is just way too sweet. For me definitely something to be used in a cocktail.
NOTE: The label says product of Trinidad & Tobago however bottled in Barbados.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I suppose if you are a tea fanatic you will like this. It is smooth. It is flavorful. It IS NOT sipping rum as it is advertised. No depth. Tastes young. Would make a very good cocktail mixer but that’s it. What we have here ladies and gentlemen is a better , tastier Kilokai rum. But that is like saying next to last is better than last. Symbolism over substance.
