New Grove Single Barrel 2004 - 49,9 °, barrel 13-04-151, 297 bottles, aged in Limousin oak barrels. Bottle 83 for us. With a beautiful mahogany color this version is more complex and requires a long ventilation before discovering notes of citrus fruits but also exotic fruits like melon, banana and pineapple. There are also floral and vegetal notes. On the palate, it is very round, sweet with always the citrus fruits and spices that also arrive. Always present with notes of caramel, toffee and chocolate (but this is the red line of New Grove).
The end is medium with a very pronounced greedy side and notes of licorice, spices and caramel.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
