In the nose, pineapple is very present with vegetable notes of sugar cane and light aromas of apricots and grapes. In the mouth, the woody takes over with the spices that arrive slowly with time and ventilation. Nice rum, good surprise. (tasted the last bottling)
The nose has a natural sweetness to it with notes of grapes, pineapple, vanilla, a bit of hay and white pepper. In the mouth it comes of a little darker than the nose suggests. Spicy but nicely rounded, bringing dark chocolate, peppery oak, hay and thick flower honey to the table. A very solid profile that's sure to please any agricole lover.
La Mauny is not so famous like Bally and St. James but for me its rhum are very very good. In particularly they are not so tannic like the competitors. 1998 is best then 1995.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Thanks to its double maturation ( first in bourbon barrels then in french barrels ), this rhum is wooded but also fruity and spicy. Once you drink it, you discover a rhum which is thin, woody, a slight cane taste and banana aroma at the end. Pepper is also well present. I'm not ( yet ) a big fan of agricole rhums but this one is really a good start to love them.
