This one is a ok rum but nothing more. Havana Club is one of the biggest producers of rum and also one of the most overated. They should keep their business for making longdrinks
But it is still not close to a rum like QRM, A.H. Riise Navy etc.
Smooth and slender, but less so than I expected. It's only mildly different to the 7-year Anejo Especial version, although the packaging and bottle would suggest otherwise.
All-in-all, a very good rum, not the Cuba Libre variety.
Smoothness. Experts made this a masterpiece. Selected old rums blended and layered in selected oak casks. Tastefull, rich sugars. Little bit flat nose.
Unfortenatly not a very exciting rum
First time with a Cuban. Very Smooth. Rocks and a lime with Tortolla in the background
A nice brown gold color with a fine fragrance.
When sipped, i tasted the sweetness of roasted Bananas with a hint of Tobacco. The taste of smoke in the afterburn was very special to.
Heavily complex to sort all those aromas.
It smells of apricot and peaches.
"Well blended and well-balanced spirit that it’s smoothness shines through. There is very little roughness or aggressive spirit tones when sipped."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The bottle looks like a premium version of the standard Havana Club bottle, it has a quite thick glass botton and a stopper made of granulated cork with a plastic cap. However it feels not such premium as it seems to be intended for.
The rum has a brown/copper colour, a fruity and slightly sharp smell, combined with oak. Quite a clear, full flavour. Vanilla, oak and caramel, together with some harsh leathery flavours and ripe fruits. The sweetness is only subtle and not as present as in other aged rums, thus the alcohol is more present on the palate (which is 45% per sip). Finally, the taste somehow resembles that of aged cognacs.
