Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

I disnt like this. But think i need to redo this one. Was in experienced then.
Although I quit smoking a while, drinking this makes me asking for it. It matches perfect together, must be the smokey taste of this rum.
I do love rums where you can clearly tell that molasses has been part of the process of making it. It's thick in a way where other rums (who do not have a clear molasses influese) aren't.
In the nose it's a bit harsh because it bites back a little. It makes you itch your nose after sniffing it.
It's a good rum, definitely but not one of my favorites. I would absolutely recommend it to people who are a little new to rum and as a person who loves clear molasses influence, it has a place in my rum cabinet!
i nte past i was drinking much more cheeper rums and this was my ticket to better rums, average smell, could be smother
There is absolutely nothing special about this rum, other than it tastes exactly like a rum should taste. I enjoy sipping it straight. Nice and strong, tasty, pleasant.
For those of us who live in the US, but I had a bottle when on vacation in the Cayman Islands. It was a few months ago, so the details will be slightly blurred...but here goes.
This is a medium to slightly dark rum. Full bodied, but not aggressive. I felt like I was drinking "true" Rum, without a lot of additives. It was leathery, and slightly tannic (being a wine drinker, I liked that) with just enough sweetness to please me. I really enjoyed this rum, and my traveling companions did not, which was just fine with me. I din't have to try and sneak any home, and didn't have to share it. Win/Win.
Good rum to drink neat or as a mixer at an affordable price. Probably one of the best rums sold globally at a large scale.
Helt grei å drikke bar, men i en drink er den meget god.
I was pleasantly surprised with a coke on ice. I have tried the PR brand and it didn’t really hit me but this is the good stuff. I am sorry that I only bought one bottle in St Maartin. If you get a chance to get a bottle of Cuba, buy one more.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It did not stand out during a rum tasting evening. Looking back at my notes I would have to taste it again alone as my nose & palate were saturated with other rums from a tasting event.
